It has been a bit of a “one step forward two steps back” kind of journey so far but none of it has been wasted time by any means. We’ve been learning a lot through trial and error and fine tuning our art and gameplay mechanics. We are finally at a stage now where we can start producing content much quicker which we are very excited about. This will also allow us to make more posts and begin to make Youtube videos of current gameplay and progression through our development.
Right now we are in the beginning stages of building our first level with the current player/enemy animations and gameplay mechanics. This will act as a tutorial, teaching the player the games core mechanics in a fun way while they progress through the narrative. We can’t wait to get it up and running so we can start showing it off letting others play the game so we can get feedback. We are going to be very hands on with our audience and have them playing our game very early in the development process. This is so we can really make it fun and feel amazing to play.
